Volunteer Recruitment Day, January 10th 2018
January 2nd 2018 – If you’d like to start the New Year doing something really worthwhile, then why not pop along to Citizens Advice in Lowestoft to find out about volunteering opportunities.
We are looking to recruit more volunteers in all areas of our charity and we’re opening our doors at St Margaret’s House, Gordon Road on Wednesday January 10th between 10 am and 2pm. Anyone can come along to find out more about the varied opportunities available that include reception duties, fundraising, campaigning and adviser roles.
All the opportunities are flexible to fit in with other work and family commitments and include thorough training and support from the friendly team of volunteers already in post – more than 40 of them in this area alone.
“Our volunteers are at the very heart of this organisation,” explained Chief Executive Janet John, “and we greatly value the contribution they make. If you’d like to make a difference in our local community, please come along for a chat and find out about how you can join us.
“You’ll find volunteering with Citizens Advice is varied and rewarding and it’s a great way of learning new skills that improve your own CV if you’re looking to return to paid work or an excellent way to stay valued and involved as you approach retirement.”
